Well another figure skating show has come and gone. To start the night off was the hike to the Boys' Club after parking in the 510 North St. lot, climbing up three flights of stairs and getting packed in like sardines into those things that are suppose to be bleachers. We tried to listen to the person announce the skaters. Nobody understood a word she was saying.
The show was the best. Those kids skated their hearts out. The costumes and the scenery were just wonderful. But to have the elderly relatives climb up to the third floor is a bit much. We were told on the way down that in two years there would be an elevator.

Well, now is the time to come together and support the building of the Quinn Memorial Arena. It would be great for the skaters to have more space to practice, more seats for the friends and families, and a public address system that people could understand. I wouldn't want the Boys' Club to be slighted, but think of the space and seats that they could fill. We were told that all the performances were sold out. Wouldn't it be wonderful for everybody to get a ticket to see a son, daughter, niece, nephew, grandchild or friend see the performance?
