To the Editor of THE EAGLE:-
I would like to thank letter writers for their interest and
questions concerning Quinn's Legacy Foundation Inc.
Quinn's Legacy has been holding bi-monthly board meetings
since July to formulate a solid and comprehensive fund-raising
strategy to approach the local businesses and national corporations
for their much needed financial support. We know there is
local financial support in the area, and we welcome it. We
have an enormous amount of money to raise, so we are going
to the national, corporate level for the millions needed to
build this facility.
We are also in the process of securing a parcel of land suitable
for the facility. All leads are being pursued.
Quinn's Legacy would like to address the Boys and Girls' Club
question by saying that we look forward to working together
with the Club to expand the youth programs currently using
the Club ice. We would like to see growth in numbers, and
in the level of play, of youth hockey in Berkshire County.
We also need to address the figure, speed, and recreational
skater's needs to grow in their numbers as well. Combining
resources with the Boys and Girls' Club will create the strongest
programs possible. United, we could forge an awesome alliance.
Quinn's Legacy is also launching its first grassroots fund-raiser.
A skate-a-thon is planned for Sept. 15 on the Ashuwillticook
Rail Trail.
Again, Quinn's Legacy Foundation Inc. appreciates your interest.
